ST. MICHAEL — MINOR – Rebekah R., 16, St. Michael, went to be with her Lord Oct. 21, 2013, at home. Born Jan. 28, 1997, in Johnstown, daughter of Mark and Barbara A. (Burkey) Minor, St. Michael. Preceded in death by grandparents, James and Gertrude Burkey and Edward Minor. Survived by loving parents; sister, Heather, wife of Matthew Knox, South Fork; brothers, Christopher, married to Sara Plummer, South Fork; and Joshua, at home, and his girlfriend, Gabrielle Mickus; grandmother, Margaret Minor, Beaverdale; beloved niece, Autumn; nephew, Christopher; and dear friends, Morgan Deitle and Katelynne Robertson. Member of The Gathering Church, Jerome; and a junior and honor roll student at Forest Hills High School. Rebekah had aspirations to attend college and earn her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Words alone cannot begin to describe what a wonderful daughter, sister and friend Rebekah was. She was always happy to lend a hand whenever the need arose; willing to help, no questions asked. She gave of herself, expecting nothing in return. She liked to say, live well, laugh often and love much. Her radiant smile was as contagious as her gift of laughter. Her sense of humor was a blessing to those who knew her. A joyful heart makes a cheerful face, But when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken, Proverbs 15:13. As daddy’s little girl, she will always and forever be loved and missed. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Pastors Todd Brenneman and Scott Hostetler. Interment, South Fork Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Rebekah’s memory, c/o P.O. Box 6, St. Michael, Pa. 15951. (www.dimondfuneralhome.com)
