John B. Transue

JOHNSTOWN — TRANSUE – John B., 75, Johnstown, died Aug. 24, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 13, 1938, in Bethlehem, son of Arthur and Katherine (Remaley) Transue. Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Vivian (Kuntz) Transue; son, Bruce, married to former Kelly Felton, Hunter, N.Y.; grandchildren, Joshua, married to former Katherine Lange; Jeremy “Worm”; and Cody; and great-granddaughter, Leia. Brother of Linda Etters, Mary Jo, Tina and Tom. John was retired from the Richland School District, where he touched many lives as a teacher and mentor. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation, however, family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of John’s life at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Crucified Ministries, 220 Maple Ave., with Pastors Terry and Josh Knipple, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Crucified Ministries, 220 Maple Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15906. Condolences can be sent to the family at
