Robert E. Christner Jr.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — CHRISTNER – Robert E. Jr., 46, Las Cruces, N.M., formerly of Johnstown, passed away June 13, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center of Las Cruces, N.M., surrounded by his wife and children. Born May 25, 1967, in Johnstown, son of Robert E. Sr. and the late Linda (Kinsey) Christner. Preceded in death by his mother. Survived by wife, Maria, Las Cruces, N.M.; son, Brandon, and fiancee, Chasity, Alamogordo, N.M.; daughter, Jaelyn, Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughters, Avalynn and Hazelyn; father, Robert E. Sr.,; sister, Melissa; and nephews, Jake, Josh and Dylan Dininny, Johnstown. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as two stepsons, five step-grandchildren and many friends. Bob was a 1985 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School, then served with the Air Force. Also a graduate of Dona Ana Community College, where he earned an electrician degree with honors. His love for sports continued into his adult life, having played softball in New Mexico for many years. A memorial service was held June 15 at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel. Bob will be laid to rest next to his mother at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum at the convenience of his family.
