Dorothy (Killinger) Squashic

DAUPHIN, PA. — SQUASHIC – Dorothy (Killinger), 77, Dauphin, Pa., passed away Feb. 4, 2014, at home. Dorothy was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Ebensburg. She graduated from Central Cambria High School in 1955. She worked 27 years for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. Preceded in death by parents, Harry and Catherine Killinger of Revloc, and sister, Irene Hovan of Ohio. She is survived by sisters, Kathryn Nagle of Patton; Elizabeth “Liz” Skala of Medina, Ohio; Jean Novak of Ebensburg; and Patricia Walker of Brunswick, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a member of American Legion Post 1001 Ladies Auxiliary and the Progress Fire Company Home Association. She enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music, bowling and being with friends. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 607 Stoney Creek Drive, Dauphin, Pa. 17018. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
