BOLIVAR — GALBRAITH – Gilda Ann, 86, Bolivar, passed away April 24, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Feb. 11, 1928, in Bolivar, daughter of late Vincent and Cleonice (Pace) Keck. Also preceded in death by these brothers and sister, Robert Keck, Jane (Keck) Gennaro and Ralph Keck. Survived by husband, James D. Galbraith Sr.; loving mother of Cindy Thomas, and husband, Joe, Seward; James D. “Jim” Galbraith Jr., and wife, Becky, Hoyt, Kan.; Nancy Larger, and husband, John, Webster, Fla.; and Wendy Ritenour, and husband, Ernie, Bolivar; dear grandmother of Stephanie McCarthy, Timothy Galbraith, Gwen Warton, Jackie Long, Emilee Larger, David Larger, James Larger, Thomas Larger and Jillian Ritenour; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Rudy Keck, and wife, Gladys, Seward; and several nieces and nephews. Member of former St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bolivar, and Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Seward; Bolivar American Legion Post 128 Ladies Auxiliary; and Robinson VFW Post 9310 Ladies Auxiliary Gilda enjoyed bingo, gardening, dancing and spending time with her family. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 425 Bridge St., Seward, the Rev. Robert M. Washko, officiating. Internment, Armagh Cemetery.
