Anne T. Desimone

JOHNSTOWN — DESIMONE – Anne T., 82, Johnstown, died Dec. 7, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center.  She was born Dec. 28, 1930, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary (DuCunto) Nigro. Also preceded in death by siblings, Philip, Joseph, Andrew and Rose.  She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Francis J. Desimone; children, Mary Koepf (Philip), Chagrin Falls, Ohio; Nancy Hinrichsen (William), Haddonfield, N.J.; Frank Desimone (Dorene), Phoenixville; John Desimone, Lakewood, Ohio; Jane Minnich (Steve), Monroeville; and Elizabeth Griffin (Mark), Fairfax, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.  She also is survived by these siblings, Madeline Whitehead, Foley, Ala.; Lillian Roberts, Norristown; and Louise Nigro and Mary Richardson (Thomas), both of King of Prussia.  Anne was a loyal member of Moxham Lutheran Church, where her love of singing was evident as she sung in the choir. She enjoyed gardening so much that she worked toward, and received, the designation as a master gardener.  But most of all she loved her family, and made it very apparent in every way.  At her request there will be no visitation, but all are invited to a memorial service at 2 p.m. Dec. 21, 2013, at Moxham Lutheran Church, the Rev. Dr. Robert Wagner, officiating.  The family is being served by Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc.  (
