Anna May Motak

EAST CONEMAUGH — MOTAK – Anna May, 83, East Conemaugh, died April 19, 2013, at Golden Living Center. Born Sept. 24, 1929, in Conemaugh, daughter of the late Max Slobodzian and Mary (Bogush) Slobodzian-Popp. Preceded in death by husband, Michael Motak. Survived by children, Carol Ledwich, and husband, Robert, Johnstown; Kathy Singel, and husband, James, Exton; and Thomas Motak, and wife, Kathleen, Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Thomas Michael Motak, Katrina Marie Motak, Anna Marie Ledwich and Nikki Singel; and great-granddaughter, Katie. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, where she served on the church kitchen committee. She was an avid cook and enjoyed trips to the casinos and vacationing with her family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St., Conemaugh, where Parastas will be sung at 6 p.m. Funeral will begin at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday with a brief service at the funeral home and continue immediately at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, the Very Rev. Archpriest George Johnson. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
