JOHNSTOWN — WALLACE – Janet E., 89, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord Feb. 19, 2014, at Allegheny Lutheran Home. Born June 25, 1924, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Francis and Jennie (Bee) Maley. Also was preceded in death by husband, John F., on Nov. 9, 1995; infant daughter, Jennifer; and brothers, Jack and William Maley. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being  survived by children, John F. Wallace Jr.; Karen L., wife of Michael Roles; and Thomas S. Wallace, husband of Linda (Laslo), all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Brian, Kimberly and Amy; and great-grandchildren, Cody, Christopher, Caitlyn, Sheridan, Teagan, Kayden, Brett, Brianna and Abigail. Janet liked to crochet, cook and bake for her family, and was a member of and attended Mass every Sunday at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, the Very Rev. James Crookston, officiating. Friends received from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. Janet will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and missed by all who knew and loved her. (
