NICKTOWN — BOROSKY – Florence I. (Baronie), 96, Jerome, died June 22, 2013, at Windber Hospice. Born Jan. 15, 1917, in Indiana County, daughter of Victor and Annie (Gifford) Baronie. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Henry Borosky, in 1944; second husband, Edward Borosky, in 1979; son, Tom, in 2007; infant great-grandson; sisters, Vera and Minnie; and brothers, August, Bill, Henry and Jimmy. Survived by children, Raymond, married to Zola Sterner, North Evans, N.Y.; Louise, married to Frank Romus, Cairnbrook; David, married to Susan Bittlebrun, Somerset Pike; and Diane, married to William Dodson, Jerome; daughter-in-law, Mary (Locamy) Borosky, Jerome; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Riley; and one foster granddaughter. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, and auxiliary to the Jerome Volunteer Fire Department and pinochle club. Former member of Holy Cross Church and the church sodality. Greatly loved her family, enjoyed cooking and baking and was well known for her pies. She was proud of being a five generation family, and was an avid bingo and card player. Viewing from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where vigil for the deceased will be held Tuesday afternoon. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne’s Church, the Rev. Father Michael Lewandowski, OFM, Conv., celebrant. Committal, Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome.
