BROWNSTOWN BOROUGH —
WILLIAMS – Thomas B. “Tom,” 83, Brownstown Borough, passed away June 21, 2013, at Conemaugh Hospital. Born July 2, 1929, in Johnstown, son of Russell and Hazel (Allen) Williams. Preceded in death by parents, and granddaughter, Billie Jo. Survived by wife of 64 years, Florence K. (Riley) Williams, Brownstown Borough; these children: Tom, married to the former Marisa Riek, and Denise, married to Rodger Courter, both of Johnstown; Sharlene, married to Robert Jones, Oregon; Michael Williams, Connecticut; Mark Williams, York; and Rick, married to the former Karen Cale, Williamsport. Also survived by grandchildren, Jason, Tom, Kate, Chad, Danielle, J.R., Eugene, Michelle, Stacey, Jamie, Eric, Jessie, Chelsey, Zac and Sam, and 19 great-grandchildren. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Tom was airborne qualified and was a glider specialist with the 11th Airborne Division. Retired plate mill division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. with over 34 years of service. For many years, he was a coach for Brownstown Little League and an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Brownstown, where funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Franciscan Friars, OFM, Conv. Committal, Grandview Mausoleum, where VFW Post 155 Ritual Team will perform military honors. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.
