Marian M. Stouffer

JOHNSTOWN — STOUFFER – Marian M., 86, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2012. Born Sept. 17, 1926, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Alexander and Jenny (Follmer) Zack; brothers, Robert and Francis Zack; and the love of her life, William A. Stouffer, having ended a marriage union of 53 years. Survived by loving children, Debbie Stouffer; Judy Long, and husband, Lance; and William Stouffer, and wife, Carol. She was adored by her grandchildren, Courtney Long; Casey Long, and wife, Kristin; Bill Stouffer, and fiancee, Bernee; and Travis Stouffer, and wife, Meredith. Also survived by two great-grandchildren; brother, Ted, Long Island, N.Y.; and multiple nieces and nephews. Marian also will be missed by her loyal companion and dog, Sammy. As a stay-at-home wife and mother, Marian created spirited adventures for her children and grandchildren. Marian loved to have fun. She was known as “Glass-Eyed Granny” by her grandchildren. Later in life, she and her husband, Bill, enjoyed traveling, and could frequently be found at baseball fields during the summers. Marian will be greatly missed by all the lives that she touched. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Geisel-Devlin Memorial Chapel, the Rev.
