BERLIN — OMASTA – Mary, 83, died May 15, 2013, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin, formerly of Old Orchard Way. Born Jan. 2, 1930, in Summerhill, daughter of  John and Mary (Civic) Dezelon. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John P., who died in 1984; and sisters, Helen Sapolich and Margaret Dezelon. Survived by daughter, Deborah, wife of Dan Zimmerman; son, Stephen, married to Robin (Thomas); son, Daniel; daughter, Cynthia Houck, New York; brother, John Dezelon Jr.; grandchildren, Tracy Conte, Stephanie Stanley, Jennifer Gilbert, Dana Omasta, Nathan Omasta and Christopher Houck; and five great-grandchildren. Mary retired from the Senior Activity Center as head cook and also was a former employee of Castle Farms. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, the Rev. William E. Rosenbaum. Friends received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
