(Zuchelli) Dipre. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Fred Lappi, Jan. 17, 1972; and second husband, John Ewanitsko, Dec. 23, 1984; two infant brothers; and brothers, Gene and Raymond. Survived by daughters, Linda (Lappi), married to Jerry Boling, Somerset, and Judith (Lappi), married to Carlton D. Barron III, Ferrellton; grandchildren, John Rycyk, and wife, Karen, Washington, D.C.; Bradley Barron, and wife, Jennifer, and Corey Barron, and wife, Kelly, both of Pittsburgh; and great-granddaughters, Erin and Holly Rycyk. Sister of Theresa, married to Paul Morandi, Somerset, and Sara, widow of Steve Pelesky, Linfield, Pa. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish, the ILGWU and Jerome Post 802 American Legion Auxiliary. Retired employee of the former Dorfman and Hoffman garment factory, with over 40 years of service. FERENS - Steve "Alabam," 88, Windber, formerly of St. Michael, passed away May 19, 2006, at Church of the Brethren Home. Born Feb. 23, 1918, in New Jersey, son of the late Michael and Mary (Dubil) Ferens. Also preceded in death by brothers, George and Charlie "Skinny," and sisters, Mary and Josephine "Doats" Kitt. Survived by wife of 47 years, the former Anna Katchmeric, and stepson, Alfred Katchmeric, and wife, Linda, Wayne, Mich. Also stepgrandchildren, Brian Katchmeric, Florida; Paul Katchmeric, and wife, Marlett, Michigan; and Cheryl Katchmeric; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Matthew and Catherine. Brother-in-law of Robert Kitt, Michigan. Uncle to Chuckie and Marilyn, Detroit, Mich. Alabam was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a veteran of World War II. Member of UMWA, SNPJ Lodge #190, American Legion Post 137, lifetime member of the Cambria County Beagle Club and VFW Post 4795, Windber. Also survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Linda Hause; children, Mark of Johnstown, and Kathy, married to David Stouffer of Ligonier; and grandchildren, Marissa, Briana, Kalyn and Madison VanEerden; David and Nicole Stouffer. Brother of Robert Fetzer, and wife, Linda, of Meyersdale, and Sharon, married to Harlan Oban of Nebraska. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of the former Forbes High School. Retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown. Member of Woodvale A.C. Club. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Bernice (McDermott) Hall, who died in 1967; sisters, Mary Whitcomb, Margaret Stull and Vivian Greenwood; and brother, Thomas Hall. Survived by loving daughter, Karen Hall, Northern Cambria; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friends, Martha and Steve Oyler, Carrolltown. Retired coal miner from Pa. HART - Jerome E., 57, of Ligonier, died Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2006, in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Thursday, May 5, 1949, in Greensburg, Pa., a son of the late Roy "Bud" and A. Olga Mahoney Hart. Jerome was employed as an industrial hygienist for Reliant Energy in Southpointe, Pa. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was part of the Folk Praise Group and the Holy Name Society. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Annette D. Sager Hart; a daughter, Jessica Smolleck (and her husband, Christian) of Hot Sulphur Springs, Colo.; a son, Damian S. (and his fiancee, Ashley Hoover) Hart of Ligonier; a sister, R. Dennis (Patricia "Trish") Fite of Cary, N.C.; a brother, George (and his wife, Elizabeth) Hart of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews, including Rebekah Fite of Ligonier. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Richard Hart. Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the at the J. MARTIN - Robert E., 66, Alum Bank, died May 20, 2006, at Windber Medical Center. Born April 29, 1940, son of Kenneth E. Jr. and Mary Jane (Yarnell) Martin. Preceded in death by father and brother, Donald. Survived by mother, Lovely; loving wife, former Bonivere Grant; and these children: Pamela, wife of Gregory Hughes, Virginia; Karl Martin, and fiancee, Tina Smith, both of Alum Bank; Amy, wife of Wesley Nolton, Virginia; and Shawnarron, and fiancee, Charlene Bish, both of Alum Bank. Also grandchildren, Nathan Wilkins and Kristan Dent. Brother of Kenneth Jr., Glen and Ronald Martin, and sister, Joyce Holsinger. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, caring for his animals, collecting model cars and listening to country music. He will be missed by his family and friends for his loving heart, wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. He will also always be remembered as the "best alarm clock."
