FAIR - Blair S., 88, died June 4, 2007, at the Wallingford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wallingford, Pa. Born Nov. 30, 1918, in Schellsburg, son of the late Sarah (Mowry) and Edward Fair. Mr. Fair was a graduate of Schellsburg High School and served overseas for four years during World War II in the Army Air Force. He was married for 59 years to the late Lois (Koontz) Fair of Johnstown. Mr. Fair was service manager for an Oldsmobile dealership until his retirement. He was a long-time member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Johnstown. Mr. Fair is survived by daughters, Dorothy Fair Dederick of North Attleboro, Mass., and Marjorie Fair Yuhas of Newtown Square, Pa.; son, William Fair of Hagerstown, Md.; and three grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Carr Funeral Home, 935 S. Providence Road, Wallingford, the Rev. Donald Burggraf, Mr. Fair's nephew, will officiate. Interment will be private. GALLAGHER - Mary I., 83, Indiana, Pa., formerly of Johnstown, died June 2, 2007, at Scenery Hill Manor in Indiana. Born Oct. 24, 1923, in Johnstown, daughter of Peter Gallagher and Catharine (Long) Doubt-Gallagher. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Kathryn Shaw-Johncola and Lavina Labarko; also stepbrother, Thomas Doubt. Survived by sisters, Alma Strayer, Ohio, and Bridget Knobloch, California; also a number of nieces and nephews. Retired clerk at the laboratory for Bethlehem Mines Corp. GRAYSON - Raymond G., 42, Johnstown, died June 4, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 9, 1964, in Philadelphia, the son of Robert W. and Ramona (Landis) Grayson. Survived by parents and loving wife, Serena Branch, all of Johnstown; son, Damien Grayson, Philadelphia; three brothers; two sisters; and a host of relatives and friends. Raymond was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. He later received Christ and was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Ray enjoyed video games, cartoons and liked to draw. The most outstanding quality that Raymond possessed was his charm and his amazing light brown eyes. He had a very funny sense of humor. As his son, Damien, would quote, "My dad was a great person in his own way." At the convenience of the family, a memorial service will be held at a later date. HELSEL-JARRETT- Betty Jane, 72, of Englewood, Charlotte County, Fla., died May 23, 2007. She was born in Johnstown and moved to Englewood in 1999. She worked as registered radiologic technologist and in the health care field for 25 years before retiring in 1989. Preceded in death by her husband, B.M. "Matt" Jarrett, and daughter, Pamela L. Helsel. Survived by sons, Robert E. Helsel of Bradenton, Fla.; David A. Helsel of State College; and Ricky S. Helsel Sr. of Port Charlotte, Fla.; also nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. June 16 at Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel. Inurnment will be private at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, Englewood. MEAGHER - Felicity "Fissy" Paige, 4 months, of Homer City, died June 2, 2007, in Buffington Township. Born Jan. 23, 2007, in Indiana, daughter of Bill Meagher and Crystal Lee Overdorff. Our precious little girl was only here four short months, but she brought happiness to all who knew her and will be missed by all. Felicity was loved by her parents; her sisters and brother, Delia Rayne Meagher, Xaryn Heming and Elijah Dalton Meagher; grandparents, Ronald and Catherine Overdorff and Michael and Debra Meagher; great-grandparents, Deoaux (Joe) and Bertha Holdsworth, Mary Lou Campbell and Ronald and Louise Overdorff; great-great-grandmother, Beulah Cameron; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Felicity will be welcomed into heaven by her great-great-grandparents, Bert Cameron Sr., Eleanor Morosky Holdsworth, W. Thomas Campbell, Ascha Meagher, and Virgil and Evelyn Overdorff. SALEM - Kathryn (Elias), 93, Westmont, died June 2, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 28, 1914, in Johnstown, daughter of George and Mary (Adoubh) Elias. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Anthony Abraham Salem, who died in 1979; sisters, Annie Jacobs, Vicki Pejack, Lottie Vuletic; and brother, Fred Elias. Survived by children, Dr. Anthony, married to Cindy (Hughes) Salem, Rydal, Pa.; Marcia Salem Nowakowski, Port Richey, Fla.; John Salem, Old Greenwich, Conn.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Margariete Elias Najjar, Farmington, Mich. A 1931 graduate of Johnstown High School with honors. Retired from the Tribune-Democrat as contractor for the circulation department in the earlier days while she was raising her children, also with her husband owned and operated Salem's grocery store in Cambria City. Kathryn was a dedicated wife and mother and will always be remembered for her Lebanese cooking and her love for singing and as a wonderful dancer. She was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by family and friends. YATSKY - Helen, 84, Euclid, Ohio, died June 5, 2007, at Euclid Hospital. Born March 29, 1923, in South Fork, daughter of Dimitrius and Mary (Mirdalik) Yatsky. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Catherine Delinay, Mary Johnson, Margaret Yatsky and Anna Yatsky; brothers, Elias, George, John, Michael, Joseph and Stephen. Many nieces and nephews survive her. Helen was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a sewing operator at General Motors in Cleveland for 30 years.
