Florence Myers Berkheimer

FLORIDA — BERKHEIMER – Florence “Lorraine” Myers, 88, formerly of Portage, died July 20, 2013, at Grandview Nursing Care Center, Sun City West, Ariz. Born Sept. 20, 1924, in Adams Township, daughter of the late Harvey Matthew Sr. and Sannie Gillman Myers. Preceded in death by husband, Elvin Russell Berkheimer; sons, Gary Gene Berkheimer, Dennis Craig Berkheimer and Ronald Reagan Berkheimer; and brothers, Harvey Matthew Myers Jr. and Sheridon Devon Myers. Survived by sister, Iris Myers Barkley, Sidman; brother, Don L. Myers, Johnstown; and children, Sharon (husband, Edward) Vizzini, Phoenix, Ariz.; Vicki (husband, Raymond) Sossong, Summerhill; Elvin M. Berkheimer, Brunswick, Ohio; Sandra (husband, Jim) Haynes, Fairfax Station, Va.; Jerry Berkheimer, Florida; Edward (wife, Judith) Berkheimer, Coconut Creek, Fla.; and Randy Berkheimer, Margate, Fla. Also survived by daughters-in-law, Margie Cochran Berkheimer, Nicktown; Judy Diehl Berkheimer, Brunswick, Ohio; and Karen Craig Berkheimer, Margate, Fla. Mrs. Berkheimer also has left a wonderful legacy with 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be a gathering time and service held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 27, at Kraeer Funeral Home, Margate, Fla. Interment will follow the service at 12:30 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Margate, Fla.
