GALLITZIN — SKUPIEN – Marjorie A. “Peg,” 87, Gallitzin, died March 18, 2013, in Monroeville. Born March 25, 1925, in Altoona, daughter of the late Otto and Evelyn (Blackburn) Epple. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph J., on Nov. 19, 2010; and brother, Richard Epple. Survived by sons, Stephen, married to the former Darlene Hrycuna, Export; Mark, married to the former Phyllis Lipka, Downingtown; and Christopher, married to the former Patricia McMahon, Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Samuel Skupien; Vera Skupien; Bryan, and wife, Catherine; Kimberly, and husband, Jose Alicea; Megan Skupien; Abbie Skupien; and Amy, and husband, Michael Schellhammer; great-grandchildren, Joseph Skupien, Samantha Skupien and Otto Schellhammer; sisters, Dorothy Rudolph, Wadsworth, Ohio; and Mary Lou Skupien, Hagerstown; and sister-in-law, Helen Ann Epple, Altoona. Peg enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading music and playing the organ. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Albert Ledoux, celebrant. Committal, Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
