JOHNSTOWN — BROOKS– Dawn Denise, 57, Johnstown, passed away peacefully Friday evening, May 10, 2013, at her home after a long battle with cancer. Born April 27, 1956, in Baltimore, Md., daughter of William and Eula (White) Jordan. She was a graduate of Norristown High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and her master’s degree from Mount Aloysius College, Cresson. Mrs. Brooks worked the last 30 years as a health care administrator, most recently with Community Action of Pa. She enjoyed reading, antiquing and traveling, especially to Ireland, England and Cancun. On Nov. 27, 1992, she married William Brooks, formerly of Franklin, and he survives. Also surviving are her loving son, Jordan Osadczuk, Philadelphia; two brothers, Geoff Jordan, and his wife, Maria, and Brian Jordan, and his wife, Deborah; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are welcome from 10:30 a.m. to time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park St., Franklin, the Rev. Dave Streets, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Johnstown, officiating. Interment will follow at Union Home Cemetery in Mercer County.
