JOHNSTOWN — RAMIREZ– Diego Jr., 85, Johnstown. Born June 22, 1928, in East Conemaugh, son of Diego and Josephine (Cardenas) Ramirez. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 58 years, Caroline (Trotz); daughter, Sandra Jane; brothers, Philip and Ruben; nephew, Joseph Ramirez; and brothers-in-law, Steve Yanchetz and Michael Kovach. Survived by his son, Robert Paul, and wife, Marcia (McGucken), and grandson, Daniel Ramirez, all of Johnstown; his beloved nephew, David Rizzo, and his wife, Shelley (Folsom), and their children, Alexa and Adam Rizzo of Virginia; brother, Joseph Ramirez, and his wife, Dorothy; sisters, Matilda Yanchetz and Margaret Kovach;  his brothers-in-law, Casimir, Joseph and Henry Trotz; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Diego was a Navy veteran of the World War II era. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. after 30 years of service and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Family and friends will be received from 6 p.m. until time of his funeral service at 8:30 p.m.  Wednesday at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home, the Rev. Alan Thomas, celebrant. Private family committal service.
