JOHNSTOWN — FATULA – Bernard F. “Radar,” 78, Lower Yoder, died Nov. 5, 2012, in Johnstown. Born Aug. 27, 1934, in Johnstown, son of Frank and Mary Rose (Spisak) Fatula. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Matilda; brothers, Francis “Doc”; Robert, and wife, Mary; and Andrew “Pinto”; and brothers-in-law, John Rovan and Edward Leech, all of Johnstown. Survived by wife, the former Barbara (Antonikas); children, Karen, married to James McMillen; Keith B., Philadelphia; and Kimberly, married to Edward Migut; and grandchildren, Ashley, Megan and Matthew McMillen; Tyra Hewitt; and Kaley Migut. Brother of William, married to Margaret; George, married to Josephine; Josephine Rovan; Catherine Leech; Theresa, married to Alex Toth; Sister Cecelia Ann VSC; JoAnne, married to Richard Klimeck; and Joseph, married to Dolores. Bernie was a 1954 graduate of Johnstown High School. He was an altar server at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church until he was 21. Upon entering the U.S. Army, he was proud to have served Mass at The Lourdes in France. Retired welder from Bethlehem Steel and J. Pitt Steel. Member of numerous organizations, including Knights of Columbus and Retired Men’s Club and was an usher at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Bernie enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and neighbors, who will miss him very much. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Conventual Franciscan Friars. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
