JOHNSTOWN — FABO – Lawrence “Larry” Francis, 66, Johnstown, died Nov. 3, 2012, at home. Born June 5, 1946, in South Fork, son of Joseph L. and Margaret M. (Fiffick) Fabo. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Joseph, Raymond and James Fabo. Survived by wife, Cynthia K. (Geesey) Fabo; daughter, Nichole Fabo, Shanghai, China; and brother, John, South Fork. Larry attended South Fork Croyle High School. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for General Telephone Co., their successor, Verizon Communications and retired from MEI Systems, Somerset. Member of South Fork Volunteer Fire Company, Station 85. Larry enjoyed cooking, restoring antiques and had a great love of the Gettysburg battlefield. He enjoyed a good political discussion and followed local politics with a keen eye. He will be missed by family and friends. Friends received from 3 p.m. until time of memorial service at 5 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, by Father Robert P. Reese.
