Charles W. Robertson

ST. MICHAEL — ROBERTSON – Charles W., 92, Rose of Sharon Home, St. Michael, formerly of Ehrenfeld, died Oct. 14, 2012, at Windber Hospice.  Born Nov. 29, 1919, in Summerhill, son of Walter and Amelia (Coleman) Robertson. Preceded in death by parents; wife. Catherine C. (Lehman) Robertson, who died July 27, 2001; daughter, Helen Saloney; sisters, Mary Ellen Steefe, Dorothy Breto and Charlotte Wilkins; brother, George Robertson; and son-in-law, Charles Saloney. Survived by son, Raymond, married to Theresa (Stein), Wilmore; grandchildren, Lori, Brandi, Toni, Chuck, Tara, Josh, Brennen and Katelyne; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Charles worked as a coal miner for Pennsylvania Coal and Coke. He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, the Rev. David Butler. Interment at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown. Graveside service by St. Michael American Legion Post 551. (www.dimondfuneralhome.com)
