John R. Instone

JOHNSTOWN — INSTONE – John R., 44, Johnstown, died March 12, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 23, 1969, in Johnstown, son of John F. and Doreen M. (Yeager) Instone. Preceded in death by father, and mother, Doreen, on Feb. 7, 2013. Survived by wife, Lynn M. (Sorchilla); daughters, Katie J. Instone and Kaileigh J. Sorchilla; and grandson, Jude. Brother of Scott D. (Paulette) Instone, and Craig M. (Kristen) Instone, both of Richland. Also nieces and nephews. A 1987 graduate of Bishop McCort High School. A 1990 graduate of UPJ. Employed by Penn Home Medical Supply. John was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and a passionate member of the NRA. He also was passionate about sports, whether it be watching, playing or coaching. John was a “proud Pappy” and was at his happiest when with Jude. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Father David S. Peles, pastor. Committal, St. Johns Cemetery, Geistown.
