SOUTH FORK — MYERS – Paul R., 79, South Fork, died Oct. 28, 2013, at Golden Living Center-Hillview, Altoona. Born July 7, 1934, in Ehrenfeld, son of Harry “Cooney” and Eva (Rose) Myers. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Betty Susko; and brothers, Lester, Charles, Donald, Ronald and Harry Myers. Survived by daughters, Kathy, wife of Raymond Giraud, Salisbury Mills, N.Y.; and Emily, wife of Edward Walter, Pearl River, N.Y.; favorite grandson, Steven Myers; granddaughters, Kristen, Michelle and Gina Groth; brothers, Robert, South Fork; and Devon, Ohio; and sisters, Margaret Smay, Sidman; and Diana, wife of Calvin Cummings, Summerhill. Paul was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Member of St. Michael American Legion Post 551 and South Fork VFW Post 7524. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Steelers, Pirates and New York Yankees. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Terry Trudgen. Interment, South Fork Cemetery. Military graveside service will be held by St. Michael American Legion Post 551. (
