KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP, OHIO — LEBZELTER – Robert L., 84, Kingsville Township, Ohio, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Ohio. Born Nov. 26, 1928, in Johnstown, son of Otto and Edith Lebzelter. He graduated from Ferndale High School in Johnstown in 1946 and graduated from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio, with a degree in business administration. He did graduate work at Kent State University–Ashtabula, Ohio, and obtained his master’s of education from Edinboro University. Bob served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a teacher and administrator in the Buckeye Local School District near Ashtabula, Ohio, from 1956 until his retirement in 1986. He was a longtime resident of Conneaut, Ohio. In a newspaper interview at his retirement, he said “I have enjoyed my time. It was very rewarding.” He married the former Lois Kraus on June 7, 1952. After retirement, they enjoyed two decades wintering in Frostproof, Fla., where he and Lois both liked to golf. Member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and later New Leaf United Methodist Church in Conneaut. He was on the board of trustees of Kingsville Public Library for many years. Preceded in death by his parents, Edith, in 1978, and Otto, in 1983; and his wife in 2011. Survived by sons, Robert (Louise) and Jeffrey, Conneaut, Ohio; James (Eva), Jefferson Township, Ohio; and Gary (Doris), Painesville, Ohio. Also survived by grandchildren, Derek (Jessica), North Kingsville, Ohio; Megan, Rachel and Lauren, Conneaut, Ohio; Timothy (Lawra), Ashtabula, Ohio; and Robert Martin, Williamsfield Township, Ohio; and brother, David (Jane), Northfield, Ohio; also great-grandsons, Henry, Marcus and Benjamin Lebzelter, North Kingsville, Ohio. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thomp- son-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, Ohio, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Contributions may be made in Bob’s name to Kingsville Public Library.
