JOHNSTOWN — SOWERBROWER – Doris J., 71, Johnstown, died May 16, 2013, at home. Born Sept. 6, 1941, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charles W. and A. Mildred (Leaper) Sowerbrower. Preceded in death by siblings, William Leaper, Marjorie Seminsky, A. Dean Sowerbrower, Frederick J. Sowerbrower and Raymond Sowerbrower, and infant siblings, Charles and Janet Sowerbrower. Survived by siblings, Shirley Leaper, widow of William, Levittown; Edward (Evelyn) Sowerbrower, Johnstown; Beverly Penrod, Johnstown; Sherry Sowerbrower, widow of Raymond; Margaret “Peg,” married to Clayton Irish, Gladwyn, Mich.; Judith, married to Daniel Ritchey; Ronald (Patricia) Sowerbrower, Johnstown; Donald (Deborah) Sowerbrower, Deltona, Fla.; Linda Sowerbrower, widow of Frederick, Elton; and Dolores Sowerbrower, widow of A. Dean, Jacksonville, Ark. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was an office administrator for Zion Lutheran Church. Member of Morrellville Church of the Brethren. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Morrellville Church of the Brethren, Pastor John Manges, officiating.
