JOHNSTOWN — SCHUSTER – Joseph L., 86, Johnstown, died March 21, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 22, 1926, in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Frances (Beck) Schuster. Preceded in death by his parents; wife of 48 years, Josephine J. (Drop) Schuster; and brothers and sister, Edward, Charles “William,” Catherine “Bix” Rager, John, Raymond “Nash” and Frank A. “Op.” Joseph was the last surviving member of his family. He is survived by his sons, Donald J., married to former Judith A. Komoroski, Rochester, N.Y.; James L., who was always at his father’s side, Johnstown; and Thomas J., married to the former Karen R. Savides, Johnstown, and grandchildren, Kristin, Kevin, Daniel, Thomas J. Jr., Derek, Laura and Kurt. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary A. Liptak and Jean A. Drop, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Joseph was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. A World War II Army veteran. He retired from the Conemaugh and Black Lick Railroad with 40 years of service and was a member of the CBL Retired Men’s Club. Joe was a man of deep faith and committed to his family. He will be loved and remembered for the rest of our lives. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St., where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Franciscan Friars, OFM, Conv.
