JOHNSTOWN — McCLAIN – Barbara K., 86, Johnstown, died March 31, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 11, 1928, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Cloyd W. and Lena (Kelley) McClain. Preceded in death by sisters, Margaret McClain and Audrey Orawiec; and brother, Elwood W. McClain. Survived by brother, Kent McClain, and wife, Dorothy L., Johnstown; niece, Lynette Shearer, and husband, Arthur, Johnstown; nephew, Robert McClain, and wife, Pam, Brunswick, Ohio; and great-nephews, Sean and Corvus. Member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, where she was a longtime member of the choir and served as a volunteer at the food pantry. She was a 22-gallon blood donor. She enjoyed gardening. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Kathleen Schoeneck, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Church of the Brethren Home.
