Mary M. Campbell

HOMER CITY — CAMPBELL – Mary M., 63, Homer City, died Oct. 5, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Oct. 9, 1949, in Ligonier, daughter of the late George Close and Evelyn (McDowell) Johns, formerly of Ligonier. In addition to her father, she also was preceded in death by husband, William R., in 2009. In addition to her mother, she also is survived by children, Tammy (Havard) Christley, and husband, Richard, Eden, N.C.; Melissa (Havard) Johns, and husband, William, Latrobe; Mary (Close) Dobbs, and husband, Samuel, Georgia; Joseph Hollen, Homer City; Serena (Campbell) Kinsey, and husband, Ricky, Johnstown; Rebecca Campbell, and partner, Jennifer Boyd, Winchester, Va.; and William B. Campbell, and wife, Rebecca Cota, Johnstown; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; also six great-great-grandchildren. Sister of William Close, Eden, N.C.; Betty Bass, Penhook, Va.; and Karen Knipple and Pat Knipple, both of Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. She enjoyed crocheting, making blankets, reading and spending time with family. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Interment, Faith EUB Cemetery, Belsano.
