JOHNSTOWN — JOHNSON – Agnes J. (Herndon), 88, Johnstown, formerly of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully Oct. 28, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 4, 1925, in Revloc, daughter of the late Oscar and Margaret (Dutton) Herndon. Preceded in death by sisters, Geraldine Herndon, Edith Fairley and Frances Herndon; and brothers, Bobby and Gerald Herndon. Survived by husband, Wiley Johnson; loving children, Kitty McKinney, Johnstown; and Morris, and wife, Shelley Herndon, Cleveland, Ohio; grandsons, Michael and Mark Herndon; and great-grandson, Paul Jr. Also survived by sisters, Frieda Jane Webster, Johnstown; and Betty Craighead, Pittsburgh; brother, Frederick Herndon, Johnstown; stepsister, Ruby Evans; stepbrother, Albert Evans, Sacramento, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews, including Sandra Scott, David Webster, Jessica Maxine Herndon and Darlene Seals; also a host of friends. Agnes enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching WWE wrestling, the Steelers and enjoyed all types of music. She also loved to sing and spend time with her family. Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 3 p.m. Friday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, the Rev. Ralph E. Johnson, officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
