Dr. Daniel J. Yost Jr.

JOHNSTOWN — YOST – Dr. Daniel J. Jr., 43, died Aug. 18, 2013, in Johnstown. Born Oct. 30, 1969, in Cheverly, Md., son of Daniel and Maureen (Clark) Yost. Preceded in death by grandparents, James and Margaret Yost and Walter and Mary Clark. Survived by his parents; son, Daniel J. III; former wife, Cindy Rutledge; brothers, Michael, married to Cheryl (McGill); Brian, married to Melissa (Stohon); Jeremy, married to Dana (Riley); Douglas, married to Rachel (Aimino); and Gregory, married to Stephanie (Puher); and  nieces and nephews. He was a 1987 graduate of Bishop McCort High School, IUP and Medical School of PCOM. He completed family medicine residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center where he was chief resident. He then served as a family physician while stationed in El Paso, Texas. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army with the rank of major. He then returned to the Johnstown/Seward area where he served as family physician. At the family’s request, there will be no viewing, however, friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at St. Clement Catholic Church, the Rev. William E. Rosenbaum. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, Pa. 15905. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at Military ritual will be conducted by VFW Post 155. Condolences may be sent through
