JOHNSTOWN — ARMOUR – Donna Dee, the Lord lifted her into His arms and took her home to live eternally with Him on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013. Born July 13, 1933, in Lucerne Mines, Pa., to Paul E. Cramer and Elizabeth (Patterson) Cramer. She graduated from Indiana High School, Indiana, Pa., where she was a majorette in the band. Dee became a secretary to the president of Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Indiana, Pa., where she met her husband, James W. Armour. She was mother of Carol Lee and Keith Leslie, grandmother of Kyra Elizabeth, Raymond James “R.J.” and Keith Aaron and great-grandmother to Gabriel. She served her Savior Jesus Christ singing in the choir, was active in the United Methodist Women, adult Bible study and Eucharistic Ministry. She volunteered as the co-chairwoman of the bereavement team at Windber Hospice for 20 years after the tragic death of her son, Keith, to comfort and minister to others in grief. Dee also delighted in volunteering at the Community Arts Center of Cambria County, Johnstown. Her gifts of organization and direction were used in many ways both at her church and in her community. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth; brother, Ron; sister, Carol; and son, Keith. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James W. Armour; daughter, Carol (Ray); granddaughter, Kyra (Sam); grandsons, Raymond “R.J.” and Keith; and great-grandson, Gabriel; along with many dear friends and family spread across America and the world. The family requests that you remember Dee by supporting the following organizations: Franklin Street United Methodist Church, Johnstown; Community Arts Center of Cambria County, Johnstown; and Windber Hospice. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Franklin Street United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Locust and Franklin streets, Johnstown, where a life celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. Special thanks from Dee’s family to the caring hospice staff and volunteers of Interim Hospice, Johnstown; neighbors, Maria and Craig; dear friends, Wilma and Alicia; and other church family. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., exclusive provider of “Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be sent to HindmanFuneralHomes.com.
