HOLLIDAYSBURG — MICHNYA – Charles, 86, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Johnstown, died Nov. 21, 2012, at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born Sept. 2, 1926, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John, Mike and Nick; and sisters, Julia Baumiucka and Mary Cwick. Survived by loving son, Charles Shugats. Charles enjoyed playing cards. He was a loving father and served in the Army during the Koran Conflict. Friends will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Inurnment, St. John Russian Orthodox Cemetery with military honors by Conemaugh Valley Detachment 287 Marine Corps League. Memorial service to follow at St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, the Very Rev. Archpriest Father George Johnson, officiating.
