SCALP LEVEL — EDMISTON-MISHLER – Stella C. (Shaffer), 79, formerly of Brehm Road, Jenner Township, died Dec. 2, 2012, at Church of the Brethren Home, Scalp Level. Born Jan. 4, 1933, in Jenner Township, daughter of Lester Sr. and Ruth (Speicher) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Clyde H. Mishler Jr., Aug. 24, 1962; second husband, Paul I. Edmiston, July 18, 2011; brothers, Lester and Clair; and infant brother, Harold. Survived by children, Diana L. (Mishler), married to Robert Vann, Johnstown; Patricia A. (Mishler), married to David Koba, Indian Lake;  and Terry A. Mishler, married to Lori Fisher, Mechanicsburg. Also survived by stepchildren, Dean R. Edmiston, and wife, Kim, Bridgman, Mich.; Roger D. Graham, Chillicothe, Ohio; and Sandra J. (Graham) Randolph, Florissant, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, John, married to Patsy Hay, Jerome, and Zane, married to Barbara Joy, Stafford, Va.; and special nephews, Jeffrey and Mark Shaffer. A 1951 graduate of former JBJ High School. Member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, where she had served as president of the women’s fellowship, and was a a former Sunday school and Bible school teacher. Volunteer for St. Francis Sharing and Caring and for Church of the Brethren Home for many years. Also enjoyed quilting. Viewing from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Maple Spring Church, the Rev. Guy Myers, officiating. Interment, Maple Springs Cemetery.
