Betty P. Teplitza

JOHNSTOWN — TEPLITZA – Betty P., 86, Johnstown, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer Nov. 15, 2013, at home. Born March 1, 1927, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Frank L. and Elsie M. (Lamb) Yost. Preceded in death by husband, George Teplitza Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Boring and Ruth DePra; and brothers, James and Robert Yost.  Survived by son, Francis Teplitza, Stahlstown; daughter, Patty Teplitza-King, and husband, William, Johnstown; Cathi (Hoffman) Teplitza; grandchildren, Jeremy and Brandi; great-grandson, Damien; brother, Richard Yost, and wife, Doreen, Maryland; and her “Babies,” Cinder, Mojo and Sassy. Betty was employed by Bestform as a seamstress, Manpower and Safari Cleaners.  She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.  Most of all, Betty loved her family dearly.  At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A private family service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Inurnment, Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association in Betty’s memory.  Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes and crematory Inc., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at
