Bruce A. Statler

WINDBER — STATLER – Bruce A., 79, Windber, died Nov. 27, 2012, at Windber Hospice. Born Jan. 17, 1933, in Windber, son of the late Charles and Luella (Knavel) Statler. Also preceded in death by brother, Robert; and daughter-in-law, Connie Statler. Survived by wife, the former Shirley Marino; and sons, Randy, and wife, Molly; and Pastor Charles B., married to the former Betsy Thomas, both of Windber. Grandfather to Faith, wife of Christopher Bollinger; Andrew, and wife, Maxine; Brandon Statler; Nicole; and Christopher; and great-grandfather to Hannah Joel Bollinger. Brother-in-law to Anna Pearl Statler; Elizabeth Terlingo; Angeline Pieraccini; and Charles Marino Jr., and wife, Peggy. Bruce was a life member of Rummel Church of the Brethren and a former Paint Township supervisor. He was a truck driver for Sun Oil Co. for 32 years, and was very active, and former chief of Windber Fire Company. Member of Johnstown Lodge 538 F&AM and Johnstown Shrine Club. At Bruce’s request, there will be no viewing, but family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rummel Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Ruby Mader, pastor, officiating. Private interment at Berkey Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Windber Hospice in Bruce’s memory. Arrangements by Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. (
