Patrick T. Courtot

LORETTO — COURTOT – Patrick T., 52, St. Mary Street, Loretto, died on his deceased mother’s birthday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Valley View Home, Altoona. Born Dec. 14, 1959, in Altoona, son of the late Ellen M. (Eckenrode) Strohmier. Preceded in death by stepfather, Robert Strohmier; brother, Thomas; and nephew, Kevin Courtot. Survived by brothers, Richard (Anita Fantini), Altoona, and Robert (Joanne  Giblock), Lilly; Donald, Cresson; two aunts; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and special friend, Linda Kline, Loretto. Graduate of Bishop Carroll High School, Ebensburg. Pat enjoyed basketball games at St. Francis University, NASCAR and college and professional football. Worked for Penn Metals, New Germany, for eight years; Industrial Service, Lancaster, for two years; and retired after 18 years of service at Harrington Hoists Inc., Manheim. Former member of Loretto Volunteer Fire Company and former social member of Loretto American Legion. Member of the Basilica of St. Michael, Loretto, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Malachi Van Tassel, celebrant. Committal, church cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, where a vigil service will be held Wednesday.
