Alice A. Reininger

JOHNSTOWN — REININGER –  Alice A., 94, Upper Yoder Township, died March 4, 2013, at Presbyterian Home of Johnstown. Born Aug. 15, 1918, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Matilda (Bates) Bennett. Also preceded in death by husband, John Alvin Reininger, to whom she was wed 44 years; son, Edwin B. Reininger; brothers, Lawrence, Percy, Clayton and Wilfred; and sisters, Catherine Bennett, Harriet Rager and Irene Howie. Alice was the last of her generation, having been survived by sons, James A., married to Linda Hileman; and Roger W., married to Sonya Felix, both of Johnstown; and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Miller Reininger, Virginia Beach, Va. She also leaves five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Member of Johnstown Grace Brethren Church. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd., where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Ron Carnevali, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.  (
