HOCKENBERRY – Michelle R., 40, of East Conemaugh Borough, passed away Feb. 11, 2008, at her residence. She was born July 21, 1967, in Altoona. Daughter of Frederick W. Ponczek, Benshoff Hill, and Connie L. (Garlick) Ponczek, East Conemaugh Borough, formerly of Altoona. Preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Raymond L. Garlick, and paternal grandparents, Walter and Amelia Ponczek. In addition to her parents she is survived by her beloved children, Zachary L. and Ashlee D., both of Altoona; loving brother, Jason M., and fiancee, Erica L. Carney, Johnstown; maternal grandmother, Irene Garlick, Altoona; former husband, Donald L., Altoona; uncles, William Garlick Sr., Altoona; Preston Garlick, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Brian Garlick, North Carolina; aunts, Suzanne and Brenda Garlick, both of Altoona; Veronica Hamula, Johnstown; special friend, Sherry Gleason, Vinco; several cousins and friends; and her faithful companion, Bizkit. Michelle attended Conemaugh Valley and Altoona Area High School. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles and surfing the Internet. Michelle loved to go camping, but her true love was her children and her family. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Father Robert Ruston. Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family, c/o of Jason Ponczek, 1225 Penrod St., Johnstown, Pa. 15902.
