Edna Mae (Kimmel) Chappie

CHAPPIE –  Edna Mae (Kimmel), 62, Berlin, passed away Dec. 19, 2009, at home with family.  Born Oct. 2, 1947, in Somerset, daughter of the late Harold and Hilda (Flamm) Kimmel.  Survived by loving husband, Robert, ending 33 years of marriage.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Also survived by son, Michael, Johnstown; daughter, Melissa (Chappie) Miller, and husband, David,  and  a grandson, Matthew, all of Fairhope.  Also survived by brother, Ellis Kimmel, and wife, Donna;  brothers-in-law, Steve Chappie, and wife, Stephanie; James Chappie; and John Chappie, and wife, Judy; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kalonich, and husband, David; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Chappie.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other loved relatives and friends.  She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin.  She had a special place in her heart for the numerous children she nurtured and cared for by being a child care provider.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening and playing games.    Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday,  Pastor Frank Demmy officiating.
