Welcome to “Out of the Wild,” a daily series from The Tribune-Democrat, working with the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.
Every day in April, we’ll introduce you to a different North American animal – with information about each species’ habitat, behavior, diet and unique or interesting features.
Look for a different animal daily all month.
Each print installment of “Out of the Wild” will be accompanied by a trivia question related to that day’s animal. The trivia promotion – “CamTran's Out of the Wild Trivia Adventure” – will appear elsewhere in the newspaper. If you clip the coupons and answer the questions correctly, you could win $100.
And check out all of our video versions of “Out of the Wild” at www.tribdem.com/outofthewild. The online reports will match up with each day’s animal, and will feature host Randy Griffith and Pittsburgh Zoo animal expert Henry Kacprzyk.
That’s three fun ways to learn about the creatures of North America ... it’s “Out of the Wild.”
