This hardback book will contain the complete history of the professional hockey teams that have thrilled Johnstown fans, from the Blue Birds to the Jets to the Chiefs.

“Slap Shots and Snapshots” will be jam-packed with photographs, statistics and stories featuring five decades of action at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

Relive the Jets’ championship seasons from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, remember the Blue Birds bringing hockey to Johnstown in the ‘40s, and the Chiefs bringing the game back in the ‘80s. You’ll read about Johnstown’s hockey legends – Galen Head, Eddie Johnston, Dick Roberge, Don Hall and others.
