Super late model driver Scott Haus kept his streak alive at Bedford Speedway on Friday night.
The Hamburg driver, the all-time wins leader in the division at Bedford, took the checkered flag for his 35th career win. It maintained his string of at least one victory each year at Bedford since 1995.
Jason Covert finished second with defending track champion Jack Pencil third, and Week 1 winner Nick Dickson, fourth. Steve Everhart, who started the evening in the 19th-starting position, was fifth.
Chris Harr, Scott Rhodes, Brian Booze, Ron Delano Jr., and D.J. Myers rounded out the top 10 in the 28-car field.
Chad McClellan won his first limited late model feature, holding off Tyler Hershey for the victory. Hershey ended up second but was later disqualified at the scales, turning second place over to Rick Singleton. Derek Byler, Andy Teno, and 2007 champ Tim Smith Jr. rounded out the top five.
The car count was down to 10 in the street stocks, but the action was tight as Bob Jay edged Jim Sayler at the finish line for the victory. Chris Chamberlain, Daryl Whetstone and Kerry Molovich finished third through fifth, respectively.
Derrick Hinish won another thriller in the hobby stock feature followed across the line by Chuck Weyant, Bill Replogle, Reed Stickel and Charlie Walter.
Mike Lauffer became the track’s first repeat winner by claiming the front-wheel drive four-cylinder feature, his second career win in the division.
Jack Treece, Ed Vogel, Cindy Rhodes and Juan Ryan rounded out the top five.
n Rick Strong of Home dedicated his late model feature win Friday night at Dog Hollow to his father, who died a month ago.
Other feature winners include Justin Kann, who earned his first Fastrack late model victory; Scott Stein in the street stock main; and Tim Good in the pure stock feature.
Merle Billotte was the only repeat winner, taking the checkered in the four-cylinder sidewinder feature while subbing for Brennan McCracken.
There were 92 cars in the pits including 18 late models, 10 Fastrak late models, 14 street stocks, 17 pure stocks and 33 four-cylinders.
n Neil Brown won his second super late model feature in two attempts on Friday at Motordrome Speedway.
Defending champion Adam Kostelnik won his first modified feature of 2008 while Jonathan Hileman (street stocks) and Bill Oldham (chargers) won career-first feature events in their respective divisions. Jeff Halfhill won his second career American flyers feature.
n Winners at Lernerville Speedway last Friday night included Alex Ferree in the late models and Brian Swartzlander in the modifieds – his 55th career win at the Sarver oval.
Rod George won the sprint car feature, his 36th victory at the track, and Paul Schreckengost claimed the pure stock checkered.
Regular racing takes place on Friday with the 40th Anniversary of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series show set for Tuesday.
