Cory Isenberg | Everhart adds to lead at TVR

Late model points leader Steve Everhart continued to build on his lead Saturday at Thunder Valley with his fourth win in seven races this season.
It was the Canoe Creek driver’s 10th victory of his career at the Central City track. Tyler Hershey was second in the late models followed by Scott Rhodes, Shawn McGarvey and Shawn Claar.
Greg Hainsey has been close to taking the checkered flag in the semi-late races and finally earned his spot in Victory Lane on Saturday.
Points leader Greg Cornell finished second with Ray Sheetz, Jim Sayler and Dave Whetstone third through fifth, respectively.
Martin Vinosky also scored a career-first victory in the four-cylinder feature, outbattling points leader Chris Booher, Nathan Vinosky, Brian Kauffman and Scott Shirk.
Shawn Dunmyer won the pure stock race over Jason Vangilder, Jason Gilliland, Jamie Kohan and John Hollis.
n At Jennerstown, Jenners driver Barry Awtey held off points leader Jason Mignogna of Greensburg to win his first race of the season in the super late model feature.
Lauren Butler took advantage of a second-lap caution to jump out to an early lead and went on to her first win of the season in the street stock feature.
In the hobby stock division, Jennerstown’s Clifford Zerfoss stole the show, leading the entire feature for the win.
Regular racing will be suspended this week at Jennerstown as the United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooters Pro Cup Series comes to town.
n Adam Pletcher of Tire Hill won his first career four-cylinder sidewinder feature Friday night at Dog Hollow Speedway.
Repeat winners include Shawn McGarvey of Coalport in the late models, Tommy Snyder of Mayport in the Fastrak late models, Jim Boyer of Indiana in the street stocks and Tim Laughard of Vinco in the pure stocks.
n Bedford Speedway suspended racing last week as preparations for the Great Bedford Fair got under way.
All five divisions will be on hand for the second Dick Koontz Memorial fair race on Friday.
n Veteran Mark Poole took the checkered flag at Motordrome Speedway for the super late models victory on Friday.
Adam Kostelnik won the modifieds feature and Shawn Phillips (street stocks), Mike Lemley (chargers) and Ed Dinneen (American flyers) all made return trips to Victory Lane.
n Lernerville welcomed the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series to western Pennsylvania for the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup on Tuesday, then held a regular racing program on Friday.
Steve Kinser won his 17th career WoO feature at Lernerville, leading the feature from green to checkered to claim the $40,000 top prize.
Friday winners were: Alex Ferree (super late models), Brian Swartzlander (modifieds), Kevin Schaeffer (sprints) and Jason Fosnaught (street stocks).
