St. Michael 4-10, Lilly 0-6: In St. Michael, strong pitching in the opener and a potent lineup in the nightcap lifted the Saints to a doubleheader sweep.

Joe Donoughe pitched a complete game two-hitter in Game 1 with seven strikeouts.

Gavin Oswalt and Ryan Wilson had two hits apiece for St. Michael (9-8) and Brennan Smay  tripled and scored a run.

Donoughe drove in four runs in the nightcap while Brendan Valko finished with two RBI and three runs scored.

The two teams combined for 13 errors in Game 2.

Simon Itle had two hits and scored twice for Lilly (5-10).



Claysburg 11-6, Somerset 1-0: In Claysburg, Cambria Legion heavyweight Claysburg rolled to a sweep of Somerset.

Kasy Hamm got the Game 1 win and Tyler Ickes scored twice for Claysburg (14-2).

Ickes added two more hits, including a double, in the nightcap. Winning pitcher Mike Mock, who pitched six innings of a two-hitter, doubled.

Somerset owns a 5-9 record.



Richland 7-1, Portage 0-11: At Highland Park, both teams took turns getting outstanding pitching performances in a doubleheader split.

In Game 1, Shawn Kaiser and Ryan Onderko combined on a one-hitter for Richland (5-12). Kaiser drove in two runs and Onderko scored twice.

In the nightcap, Brandon Vocco pitched a three-hitter for Portage. Ben Herman scored three runs and Bailey Kerch was 2-for-3 with three RBI.
