Foundation sets benefit challenge
Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy Foundation will hold its fourth annual Penny-a-Pin Bowling Challenge from noon-4 p.m. Friday at Richland Lanes.
Individuals with disabilities served by the agency, along with volunteers and staff members, will participate in the event, which will benefit the AUCP Consumer Activity Program.
Each bowler is asked to gather sponsors willing to donate one penny for every pin knocked down in the course of three games.
If a participant bowls a score of 125 for one game, each sponsor who pledged a penny would owe $1.25 for that game. Last year’s event raised $4,925.70.
