Shanksville-Stonycreek 4, Shade 0: At Cairnbrook, Steve Weible threw a complete game on Saturday, striking out 13, including nine of the first 10 batters he faced, to lead the Vikings.

Shade’s B.J. Spangler struck out five while battling a sore shoulder, pushing him past 200 strikeouts for his career. Spangler and Jeremy Pyles had Shade’s only hits.

Joe Swank was 3-for-4 with a double and RBI for the visitors. Weible and Nick Norris had RBI singles.

Bishop Carroll 8, Westmont Hilltop 2: In Ebensburg, Scott Lucas went 2-for-4 while Ray Watt, Brandon Martinazzi, and Josh Surkovich were each 2-for-3 to lead the Huskies.

Martinazzi drove in three runs, Surkovich plated two and Watt had one RBI.

Dillon Kmecak was 2-for-3 for Westmont with an RBI.

Westmont Hilltop 14, Greater Johnstown 4: The visiting Hilltoppers scored 11 runs in the fifth inning, completing a game that began on Monday but was suspended in the top of the fifth.

Kohl Henry and T.J. Smith had two hits and two RBI each for Westmont. Brandon Leech was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Gavin Eash had a hit and two RBI.

Grant Noon led the Trojans with two RBI and one hit.

North Star 7, Portage 6: In Boswell, Dalton Rice and Zach Maluchnik had three hits each to lead the Cougars.

Rice, Derek Mullen and winning pitcher Shane Supanick each drove in two runs, and Supanick struck out 11 Portage batters.

Luke Dividock led the Mustangs with two hits and two RBI. C.W. Miller also had two hits for the visitors.

Windber 6, Ferndale 5: Greg Walker went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Cody Louder drove in three runs to lead the Ramblers to a road win in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader.

Isaiah Sajatovich and Corey McCombie were each 2-for-3 for Ferndale, and Matt Teplica drove in two runs.

The nightcap was suspended because of rain in the sixth inning with a score of 6-all. A completion date has not yet been set.

Ligonier Valley 11, Purchase Line 2: In Commodore, the Rams scored three sixth-inning runs on an error and a two-run single by winning pitcher Jordan Jones to seal a win on Friday.

The visitors added nine more runs in the game, including six on three-run rallies in the fifth and sixth innings.

 Hunter Mills reached base three times and singled twice.
