JOHNSTOWN — High School Boys

Bishop Carroll 64, Bishop Guilfoyle 61: In Altoona, the Huskies improved to 20-0 with a road win over the Marauders.

Marcus Lee topped all scorers with 24 points for Bishop Carroll, which swept Bishop Guilfoyle in the two regular season meetings. The Huskies also got 15 points each from Brandon Martinazzi and Scott Lucas.

Four Bishop Guilfoyle players scored in double figures led by 19 points from Damon Rickens. Sam McCloskey and Brandon Chadbourne each scored 13 points and C.J. Fulare chipped in 11 for the Marauders (17-4).

Bishop McCort 69, Bedford 50: Nemo Trexler led all scorers with 25 points and pulled down 16 rebounds as the Crimson Crushers bested the Bisons.

Tyler Rugg added 19 points for Bishop McCort.

Alex Kendall had 17 points for Bedford, which also got 14 from Zack Shaffer.

Rockwood 61, Blacklick Valley 53: In Nanty Glo, Logan Svonavec scored a game-high 20 points and Ethan Keefer added 19 in a Rockets road win over the Vikings.

Avery Deskevich tossed in 10 points for Rockwood.

Seth Ellis topped the Blacklick Valley scoring with 15 points while teammate Nathan Smith added 12.

Central Cambria 48, Cambria Heights 37: In Ebensburg, Tanner Ambrisco led the Red Devils with 15 points and Central Cambria netted a win over Cambria Heights.

Will Seymour tallied 14 points for Central Cambria, which saw Matt Leary pull down 14 rebounds.

Josh Serafin’s 19 points paced the Highlanders.

Berlin Brothersvalley 60, Portage 44: In Portage, Jake Snyder scored 21 points and Trevon Ward had 17 for the Mountaineers in a road win over the Mustangs.

Cody Randall paced Portage with 16 points and teammate Michael Bryja added 12.

Conemaugh Township 72, Salisbury-Elk Lick 31: In Davidsville, the Indians raced out to a 28-6 lead after the first and never looked back in a victory over the Elks.

Austin Speigle topped the Conemaugh Township scoring with 15 points, including four 3-pointers, while teammate Jeff Callihan had 14 points.

Nathan Bodes scored a game-high 22 points for Salisbury-Elk Lick.

Shanksville-Stonycreek 51, Ferndale 35: The Vikings’ Ryan Platt tallied 18 points and Jake Wilt tossed in 15 more as Shanksville-Stonycreek topped host Ferndale.

A 13-2 run in the third allowed the Vikings to pull away from Ferndale after the Yellow Jackets stayed within four points in the first half.

Ray Hinton’s 14 points paced Ferndale.

Penn Cambria 53, Forest Hills 51: In Cresson, a furious 19-9 edge in scoring gave Penn Cambria a narrow win over Forest Hills.

Chad Tsikalas and Drew Slatko each scored 12 points for the Panthers.

Rich McClelland’s 14 points led the Rangers while Chip Hook netted 10 points. 

Greater Johnstown 57, Richland 50: An 18-6 edge in first-quarter scoring held as the Trojans topped visiting Richland. Shaquan Reid’s 26 points led Greater Johnstown while Jeremy Updyke scored 17 points.

The Rams’ Kyle Flick scored 20 points and teammate Aaron Miller posted a dozen more.

Windber 100, Meyersdale 64: In Windber, the Ramblers’ Matt Barkley scored 32 points, grabbed seven rebounds and issued seven assists in a decisive victory over Meyersdale.

Windber led 69-33 at the half. Bryce Spak scored 12 points and pulled down 10 boards while Devon Tomlinson scored 16 points. Austin Leonardis scored 11 points and Windber teammate Steve Pipon tallied 10 more.

Dan Tomlinson had 10 assists in the win.

Connor Christner scored 19 points to lead the Red Raiders, who received 15 points from Cole Clark and a dozen more from Riley Christner.

Somerset 62, Westmont Hilltop 49: The Golden Eagles and Hilltoppers combined for 17 3-pointers as visiting Somerset came away with the win.

Connor Zarefoss supplied 26 points for the Golden Eagles including six 3-pointers while teammate Dylan Barnes scored 18 points.

Conor Mendelson topped the Hilltoppers with 24 points and Jordan Brant added 13 with Mendelson supplying four 3-pointers and Brant, three.

High School Girls

Ferndale 72, Johnstown Christian School 53: In Hollsopple, Lindsey Olshewsky scored 25 points, Kayla Ohler added 23 and Cass Vivis had 14 to lead Ferndale.

Sam Haynes had 20 points and a dozen rebounds for the Blue Jays, who got 14 points from Maddy Sprankle and 10 points and 14 rebounds from Kaitlyn Seth.

Conemaugh Valley 44, Richland 32: Kacie Smith scored a game-high 14 points and Emily McCray added 11 in a Blue Jays road win over the Rams.

Sam Ballow topped the Richland scoring with nine points.

Cambria County Christian 50, Westmoreland County Christian 13: In Greensburg, Taylor Campbell scored a game-high 23 points and Alexis Wolfe supplied 17 points and 10 rebounds as Cambria County Christian crushed its hosts.

Nicole Worsham scored 11 points for Westmoreland County Christian.

North Star 66, Blacklick Valley 23: In Nanty Glo, Courtney Schrock scored 13 points and teammate Jackie Stanko added 11 as the Cougars topped the host Vikings.

Josie Roberts was the leading scorer for Blacklick Valley with seven points.

Jeannette 43, Ligonier Valley 41: In Ligonier, the Jayhawks outscored the Rams 20-9 in the final quarter to edge the host squad in a non-conference game.

Monique Redman scored a game-high 22 points for Jeannette. Olivia Miller scored 14 points to top Ligonier Valley, which also got 13 points from Taylor Rudnik.

United 51, Northern Cambria 16: In Armagh, three Lions scored in double digits led by Taylor Mack with 15 points in a victory over the visiting Colts.

Kylee Surike added 13 points and Eden Bloom supplied 10 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists for United, which also got five assists from Hope Hixson.
