Renegades post win at Roxbury

Three RBI from Nate Campbell helped the Berkley Hills Renegades topple the Rail Birds, 5-2, on Wednesday in an interleague game at Roxbury Park.

Campbell was 2-for-3 and teammate Jay Shirley drove in two runs.

The Rail Birds’ Kyle Schoen was 2-for-2 while reaching base four times.


Ivory’s home run  helps lift Patton

PATTON – Jarid Ivory swatted a solo home run the bottom of the ninth inning on Wednesday to help Patton outlast Ebensburg, 5-4, in an American Legion game suspended on Tuesday.

The Redmen completed the sweep by edging out Ebensburg in Game 2, clinching the North Division title along the way.

Game 1 saw both teams post runs in the eighth before Ivory’s heroics in the ninth. Adam Polites and Evan Waldron each had two hits in the win. Ebensburg’s Troy Templeton and Scott Lucas each had two hits. Lucas chased in a pair of runs as well.

Patton’s Dom Milanesi had two RBI in the Game 2 triumph. Ebensburg countered with two hits and two RBI from John Grimes along with Tom Howell’s home run in the third.

Portage rolls past Richland

PORTAGE – Michael Bryja was 3-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored as Portage rolled past Richland, 15-0, in four innings of American Legion action.

Brandon Madigan had two hits and scored three runs while Brandon Vocco finished with two hits, two RBI and two runs scored.

Brandon Fesko had the lone hit for Richland.
