Laurel Auto nips Martella’s

Ben Webb racked up four hits and Laurel Auto Group plated all five of its runs in the fourth to overtake Martella’s Pharmacy, 5-4, at Roxbury Park.

Martella’s Pharmacy, which rallied to pull within a run after scoring twice in the bottom of the fourth and once more in the fifth, was paced by Dillon Boyer’s

4-for-4 day at the plate.

Delweld defeats Berkley Hills

AAABA League front runner Delweld struck for five runs between the sixth and seventh innings to claim a 6-2 victory over the Berkley Hills Renegades in Friday’s early game at Point Stadium.

Eric Weyant was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored. Matt Martin roped a two-run double off the wall in left to highlight the Delweld seventh while Ben Legath’s two-run home run in the sixth broke a 1-all tie. Drew Hemminger was 2-for-4 in the win. 

The Renegades’ Nate Campbell was 2-for-3.

Commonwealth wins short game

First Commonwealth Bank erupted for 10 runs in the first and parlayed that lead into a 12-2, five-inning win over Ophthalmic Associates in Friday’s Point Stadium nightcap.

Luke Trotz led the way for First Commonwealth with three hits, three RBI and two runs scored.
