Pastorek joins staff at SFU

LORETTO — St. Francis women’s basketball head coach Joe Haigh announced the addition of Bishop McCort graduate Sarah Pastorek as the director of operations.

“I’m very excited that Sarah is going to join our staff as the director of operations,” Haigh said.

“She was a great high school player at Bishop McCort, and then went on to a decorated career at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Sarah is a very hard worker, has a great attitude and energy, and will be a major contributor to our program this year.”

Pastorek enjoyed a stellar four-year playing career at IUP. She was named to the All-PSAC first team in both 2011-12 and 2012-13. Pastorek was also a two-time Division II All-American and scored over 1,000 points in her career. She graduated from IUP in May with two degrees, one in English and one in journalism.

“I am both excited and thankful for this tremendous opportunity and am looking forward to working with such an experienced staff, all of whom are great people,” Pastorek said.
